Cooking Instructions:

Sugardale hams are fully cooked and ready to eat.

To serve warm:

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Remove all packaging material from ham.
  • Place ham into shallow baking pan., add approximately ½” of liquid.
  • Place in oven for approximately 15 minutes per pound.
  • Ham is warmed when internal temperature reaches 120°F - 130°F, depending on the ham type. Do not over-cook; ham will dry out.

Sugardale bone-in hams are generally larger than a boneless ham – and they’re packed full of delicious, traditional ham flavor. Available year-round, Sugardale bone-in hams are a great option for soups, quiches, salads or pasta dishes. Delish.

To serve warm:

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Remove all packaging material from ham.
  • Place ham into shallow baking pan, add approximately ½” of liquid.
  • Place in oven for approximately 15 minutes per pound.
  • Ham is warmed when internal temperature reaches 130°F. Do not over-cook; ham will dry out.

Carving Instructions:

  1. Place whole ham on cutting board.
  2. Begin cutting at the large end of the ham and draw the knife down along the center bone.
  3. Remove the lean meat and place it on a carving board and slice.
  4. Repeat the same process on the other side of the ham.
Semi-Boneless

Available in whole and half sizes, Sugardale semi-boneless hams have more meat and less bone than a traditional bone-in hams. These hams are an impressively tasty option for entertaining, hosting, or simply satisfying the family.

All Sugardale semi-boneless hams are fully cooked and ready to eat.

To serve warm:

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Remove all packaging material from ham.
  • Place ham into shallow baking pan, add approximately ½” of liquid.

All Sugardale spiral sliced hams are fully cooked and ready to eat.

To serve warm:

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Remove all packaging material from ham.
  • Place ham into pan at least 1 inch deep; add 1/2 cup water to pan.
  • Place in oven for approximately 15 minutes per pound.
  • Ham is warmed when internal temperature reaches 120°F.
  • Do not overcook; ham will dry out.

Serving Instructions:

Spiral sliced bone-in hams are not sliced all the way through so that the ham stays intact during heating. The ham is sliced within an inch of the center bone.

  1. In order to remove the spiral slices, run your knife along the center bone to loosen the slices.
  2. Place the slices on a platter and serve.

Exceptionally tender? Check. Quick and easy weeknight meal? Check and check. That’s Sugardale center sliced bone-in ham steaks and ham roasts. Whether you grill out or heat in your oven, prep couldn’t be easier!

Cooking Instructions:

Sugardale ham roasts and steaks are fully cooked and can be served warm or cold. Remove all packaging material including clear plastic disc over bone.

Prestige Bone-In Ham Steaks:

Pan-Fry:

  • Apply your favorite glaze if desired.
  • Fry ham steak in a preheated pan at medium setting for 3-4 minutes.
  • Flip ham steak and continue to heat for an additional 3-4 minutes or until lightly browned.

Grill/Broil:

  • Apply your favorite glaze if desired.
  • Preheat grill/broiler.
  • Set broil pan 3 inches from the heat.
  • Heat ham steak for 3-4 minutes.
  • Flip ham steak and continue to heat for an additional 3-4 minutes or until lightly browned.

Ham Roast:

Oven:

  • Preheat oven to 325°F
  • If using an oven bag
    • Spoon two teaspoons flour into oven bag and shake to coat inside.
    • Place ham roast inside cooking bag, close with nylon tie.
    • Place ham in shallow baking dish, add approximately ½” of liquid.
    • Cut two small slits in the top of the oven bag.
  • If not using an oven bag
    • Place ham in shallow baking dish, add approximately ½” of liquid
    • Tent loosely with aluminum foil
  • Heat approximately 10-12 minutes per pound to an internal temperature of 120°F. (Oven temperatures may vary, adjust heating times accordingly.)

Grill:

  • Do not use oven bag on grill.
  • Preheat the grill.
  • Heat the ham roast 7-9 minutes per side to an internal temperature of 120°F.

Serving Instructions

Sugardale ham roasts are easy to prepare and should be sliced using the instructions below.

  1. Place roast on a carving board.
  2. Hold the roast steady with a fork.
  3. Using a sharp knife, slice thin strips of roast at a diagonal angle. The slices should be less than 1/2 inch wide

The name says it all! Sugardale boneless hams take the bone out of the equation, making slicing a cinch. All Sugardale boneless hams are fully cooked and ready to eat.

Virginia Classic Hams - To Serve Warm:

  • Remove ham from packaging.
  • Place ham in shallow baking pan in preheated oven at 325°F.
  • Bake approximately 15 minutes per pound.

Country Inn Hams - To Serve Warm:

  • Place quarter ham in shallow baking pan in preheated oven at 325°F.
  • Bake for approximately 15 minutes per pound of ham to an internal temperature of 130°F.
  • You can grill, pan-fry or broil Sugardale ham slices for approximately 3 minutes per side.
  • You can also add your favorite glaze recipe for extra flavor.

Simple Carve - To Serve Warm:

  • Remove ham from packaging.
  • Place ham in shallow baking baking dish, flat side down, in a preheated oven at 325°F.
  • Bake approximately 13-15 minutes per pound.
  • Carving Instructions: Start on the cut face of the ham and slice to desired thickness.
